AZ Truck driver

We are currently looking for 2 experienced AZ drivers to work in the rural Aylmer area. This position is working with a 53 foot dump trailer hauling manure to various farms. The ideal candidate will be familiar and comfortable with farm life, farm smells and farm ‘mess’.

Driver must have at least 3 years verifiable AZ driving experience and acceptable abstracts.

This position is Monday – Friday 6am starts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 full years verifiable AZ driving experience
• Acceptable CVOR and Driver Abstracts
• Must have a valid Ontario driver’s licence in good standing
• Ideally, be able to drive a manual transmission truck
• Have a strong knowledge of rural south western Ontario
• Be a team player with a positive attitude
• Must speak, write and read in English
• Good working knowledge of legislation relating to commercial transport activity

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough pre-trip inspections
• Operate in a safe manner consistent with all company and MTO requirements
• Transport freight to and from customer locations
• Complete daily road sheets and maintain log books
• Communicate and coordinate daily activities with dispatcher
• Accurately complete all paperwork requirements
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights and brakes etc.
