DZ Truck Driver 5 Ton Truck Experience a must / Warehouse Associate $23.50 – Cambridge

• Mondays through Fridays
• 40-45 hours per week
• Start 7:00am till 4:00pm

Local SW Ontario/GTA Work

5 ton truck with no air brakes, automatic trucks, MUST have at least 3 years driving a 5 ton truck or bigger

Key Responsibilities

• Process, package, and ship orders accurately.
• Organise stock and maintain inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Examine incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Organize warehouse space.
• Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized on a daily basis.

Authorities

• Reject and isolate defective products for review by Warehouse Manager

Education, Training and Experience

• Valid forklift license, or willing to obtain.
• Basic computer knowledge

Competencies

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs at regular intervals.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager in picking and packing orders with accuracy.
• Load and unload products from trucks at the warehouse and customer locations.
• Complete daily delivery routes across multiple cities when reqquired (approximately 300 km per day, with 18+ stops and regular route rotations).
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and meet quality standards.
• Perform daily circle checks and maintain logbooks in accordance with SmartShield policies.
• Report any vehicle deficiencies, collisions, or other occurrences.
• Maintain the interior and exterior of the truck in a clean, tidy, and professional condition at all times.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Identify and share potential customer leads or opportunities with the team.
• Support additional warehouse and logistics tasks as assigned.

The Skills You Bring

You’ll do well in this role if you bring:

• Must have at least 3*years of recent experience operating a 5-tonne Class G truck
• Valid DZ Driver’s License
• Clean driver’s abstract- 30 Days current
• Ability to provide proof of insurance
• Physical ability to lift and move 50+lbs on a regular basis
• Comfort using a pump truck to load and unload deliveries
• Experience completing daily logbooks and vehicle inspections
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• A reliable, self-directed work style with the ability to manage a full delivery schedule.
